Major research interests: geology of mineral deposits, including technogenic mineral deposits, assessment of the ecological status and monitoring of mineral deposits

The main works are devoted to the structure and composition of technogenic mineral deposits in the Ural region. A classification of such deposits has been developed, and groups of raw materials have been identified according to their chemical and mineral composition. Studies of a variety of raw materials of technogenic mineral deposits have been carried out, and geoecological studies have been carried out at some facilities with an assessment of the distribution of a wide complex of heavy metals.

Author and co-author of more than 200 publications.
