Major research interests: mineralogy of ophiolite complexes, meteorites and granite pegmatites.


One of the pioneers of the new mineral, the Mariinskite, which is a chrome analogue of chrysoberyl (approved by the International Mineralogical Association in 2011).
Author and co-author of more than 500 publications.
