The process approach to business

The article reveals the essence of two quite distinct process approaches to management of the company: the first approach – a combination of a process approach to the management with the existing functional and hierarchical structure, and the second approach is the allocation in the organization through processes that are not tied to the boundaries of functional units, and the transition to a matrix structure of management. It is performed comparative characteristic of approaches. Substantiated the list of typical problems encountered in the implementation of the system of business process management (SUBP). It is provided a conceptual diagram of the process control and the author’s definition of a business process.
